President Trump will deliver a keynote address on Wednesday at the Republican National Committee Midterm Convention in Dallas. This event, an uncommon mid-cycle gathering, aims to energize party leaders and delegates before the November elections.
Vice President JD Vance, viewed as a potential successor to Trump, will headline the second night’s events. Several others considering presidential bids for 2028 are also scheduled to speak.
RNC officials have confirmed a list of invited speakers. This list includes top Cabinet secretaries, notable Republican congressional leaders, and candidates involved in key contests for the House, Senate, and gubernatorial positions. The exact schedule for these speeches is pending, with more additions expected.

Among the confirmed speakers are former White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, currently an external political adviser to Trump, Donald Trump Jr., Attorney General Todd Blanche, and Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Notably absent from the list are Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Trump has often mentioned Rubio as a potential running mate for Vance or future presidential nominee. However, recent reports deny Hegseth’s interest in a White House bid.
Key Capitol Hill figures such as House Speaker Mike Johnson and Senator John Barrasso of Wyoming, the second-ranking GOP senator, will attend. Senate Majority Leader John Thune, who has recently had public disagreements with Trump, is not scheduled to speak but will be in Dallas for fundraising events.
Others invited to speak include Texas Senator Ted Cruz and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, who is trailing in polls against his Democratic opponent, James Talarico, in their Senate race. Recently, Trump supported Paxton’s campaign with a $10 million donation from his MAGA Inc. super PAC.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott, currently maintaining a narrow lead over Democratic challenger Gina Hinojosa according to polls, is also slated to speak.
