St. Petersburg, Putin’s hometown, hosted the opening of the forum as international guests arrived. Among the attendees was Rodney Mims Cook Jr., responsible for President Donald Trump’s planned White House ballroom.
The incident served as a stark reminder of the ongoing war, juxtaposing the international gathering with the conflict’s realities.
