Plymouth, Mass. — Michael Desronvil, the juror whose stance led to a mistrial in the Lindsay Clancy case, provided new comments in a direct statement.
Desronvil emphasized shifting focus back to the victims. “I know the whole focus has been on me, but we want to reel everything back and put the focus on the three angels,” he said during a video aired on Fox News’ Hannity. “The ones that can’t speak for themselves, the ones that can’t defend themselves, and the ones that can’t fight the battles—Cora, Dawson, and Callan.”
He briefly reflected on his personal experiences. “I want to thank God for my Catholic faith,” Desronvil shared softly. “I want to thank God for blessing me with the ability to love my daughter. And foremost, I would like to thank everyone, every individual, that has supported me throughout this difficult situation.”
Previously, his attorney, Edward Paltzik, communicated on his behalf. Accusations had arisen that Desronvil maintained his view of Clancy’s guilt due to doubts about the prosecution’s case. He has refuted these claims.
Attorney Paltzik, in a discussion with Fox News’ Kayleigh McEnany, asserted, “Michael has zero doubt.” He also countered a local report on past domestic violence allegations against Desronvil, describing them as “false, fabricated, never happened, categorically false.”
A dispute has emerged between Paltzik and Clancy’s defense attorney, Kevin Reddington. Reddington criticized Desronvil, labeling him the “obstructionist juror,” and requested a court investigation into reports from other jurors asserting Desronvil’s noncompliance with law enforcement in the deliberation room.
Clancy is scheduled for a court appearance on Tuesday for a status conference. Prosecutors are expected to announce plans for a new trial, while Clancy’s defense has filed motions to dismiss charges and demanded an inquiry into juror allegations against Desronvil.
