A recent poll in New Hampshire places her at the forefront of the 2028 Democratic presidential field. She garnered 22% support among likely Democratic primary voters, edging out Pete Buttigieg and leaving Kamala Harris far behind.
Ocasio-Cortez’s support increased by seven points since the February survey, while Harris and Governor Gavin Newsom lost traction. This growth highlights her rising popularity among Democratic voters in this crucial electoral state.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been cautious about her plans for 2028 and has not ruled out a potential White House bid or a Senate challenge against Chuck Schumer. When asked about her future in higher office, she mentioned her aim to change the country.

Despite rumors, Sanders humorously remarked that he doubts another White House run is in his future, jokingly citing his age.
Kamala Harris, the 2024 nominee, has seen a decline in support with only 5% backing in the recent poll, compared to 10% previously. Although her New Hampshire numbers are low, she leads in the national polls for the 2028 Democratic nomination due to high name recognition.
The Democratic National Committee (DNC) plans to revise the nominating calendar for 2028, with a vote expected soon. Meanwhile, Republicans maintain their traditional schedule with the Iowa caucuses leading.
For the GOP, Vice President JD Vance leads with 36% support in New Hampshire, followed by Secretary of State Marco Rubio at 26%. Other notable Republicans like Rand Paul, Nikki Haley, and Ron DeSantis are also in the mix, although with less support.
