Arizona Man Re-Arrested Amid Ongoing Abduction Case

An Arizona man previously linked to the unsolved abduction of Nancy Guthrie has been arrested again, according to authorities. This arrest is on charges unrelated to the Guthrie case. Luke Daley, aged 37, was apprehended on September 30, 2026, and is now held at the Pima County Adult Detention Complex.

Daley’s encounter with the law in February 2026 involved a traffic stop in a Culver’s parking lot, as well as a raid on his mother’s residence. This took place during the investigation into Guthrie’s disappearance from her home in the Catalina Foothills neighborhood of Tucson. Despite these incidents, Daley was released without charges related to Guthrie’s case. His attorney emphasizes that Daley has no connection to the abduction.

Mr. Daley has no link whatsoever to Nancy Guthrie and has no information related to her kidnapping.

The Guthrie case remains unsolved, with no suspects publicly identified. A security camera recorded a masked individual at Guthrie’s doorstep near the time of her abduction, yet authorities have not apprehended anyone based on this footage.

Daley faces separate legal issues involving drug and firearm charges. He was already on probation for other violations, prompting prosecutors to attempt revoking that probation. These legal troubles continue while the Guthrie investigation persists, with her loved ones anxiously hoping for her safe return.

Nancy Guthrie, 84, and mother to Savannah Guthrie from the ‘Today’ show, has been missing for over eight months. Investigators have received ransom notes allegedly from her kidnappers. These notes remain unverified, with one demanding payment and another claiming her death. Despite this, the investigation remains open, with no concrete evidence confirming these claims.

Authorities encourage anyone with information about the case to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or reach out to Tucson’s Crime Stoppers at 520-88-CRIME. They highlight that a reward exceeding $1.2 million is available for valid leads.
