The intense summer heat in Cairo is becoming a significant concern. My father, residing in Cairo, described the current summer as punishing. When I inquired about the temperature, he mentioned it was 39 degrees Celsius. For those more familiar with Fahrenheit, that equates to a scorching 102 degrees. Next week’s weather forecast predicts a rise to 106 degrees.
During the ’90s, my summers spent with my dad were marked by heat, albeit without the widespread availability of air conditioning that exists today. At that time, we managed to cope with the heat.
Now, in an era of extreme temperatures, there is a curiosity about how residents in Egypt are faring.
