Cristiano Ronaldo, renowned as one of the greatest soccer players, has hinted that he may retire after this season. In an interview with Vogue, Ronaldo stated that the upcoming season could be his final year in football.
Ronaldo, now 41, recently tied the knot with his longtime partner Georgina Rodríguez. This new chapter in his personal life might be influencing his decision to focus on family.
Currently, Ronaldo plays for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, having joined the club in 2023. He has achieved notable success there, scoring 102 goals in 107 matches.
Ronaldo also participated in his sixth World Cup with Portugal, though he did not achieve his goal of winning the trophy. Portugal was defeated by Spain, the eventual winners, with a 1-0 loss in the Round of 16.
During his World Cup career, Ronaldo scored 11 goals in 27 matches, marking the end of his international career with a remarkable tally of 146 goals in 233 appearances for Portugal.
Expressing his desire to leave a lasting impact, Ronaldo mentioned that he wishes to be remembered for his contributions to soccer over the years.

As Al-Nassr begins its season on Tuesday, Ronaldo’s last professional match, if this is indeed his final season, will be on May 28, 2027.
