Fanatics Fest 2026: A Star-Studded Gathering

Madison Alworth from FOX Business reports from the Fanatics Fest in New York City, where an impressive assembly of sports enthusiasts and athletes has gathered. CEO Lance Fensterman confirms the attendance of sports giants such as Serena Williams and David Beckham. Over its four-day duration, this event is expected to draw 200,000 attendees, marking significant growth since last year.

One of the highlights has been the presence of LeBron James. While James did not reveal his next team, he created buzz among the attendees. As a free agent and the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, James plans to enter an unprecedented 24th season. However, his new team remains undecided. Speculations hint at teams like the Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Philadelphia 76ers.

While recording a live episode of his podcast “Mind the Game” with Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton, James fueled speculations with a particular phrase. He expressed a desire to join a team with a similar approach to practicing championship habits, highlighting “trust the process.” This phrase has long been associated with the 76ers, sparking excitement among fans.

Despite the reactions, James clarified that his words were not a hint towards the 76ers. He emphasized that “trust the process” has been part of his vocabulary since 2003, even before Joel Embiid’s era.

James acknowledged the importance of this decision, not just for himself but for his family. His son, Bronny, has been a factor in his thought process. “It’s about finding a fit as a player and as an individual,” he remarked.

At age 41, LeBron James averaged impressive stats last season with 20.9 points, 7.2 assists, and 6.1 rebounds, contributing to the Lakers’ playoff success despite injuries to teammates Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves.
