Felix Rosenqvist’s Busy Week After Indy 500 Victory

The Indianapolis 500 stands out as the most significant race in its series, occurring midway through the season following extensive preparations. This creates a demanding schedule, especially for the victor, who then experiences a whirlwind week before returning to the track. Felix Rosenqvist recently found himself in this situation, having secured the biggest win of his career at the 110th Running of the Indianapolis 500 on May 24, 2026.

Hours after crossing the finish line ahead of David Malukas, Rosenqvist was immediately engaged in a series of media commitments. These responsibilities began with interviews and continued late into the night. The next day was equally packed, with more interviews, a photo session, and a Victory Celebration in the evening.

Rosenqvist’s post-victory agenda included a trip to New York for additional interviews and visits to iconic locations such as the Empire State Building and Times Square. He also made an appearance at the premiere of the Indy 500 Grand Marshal Brendan Fraser’s film, “Pressure.” After New York, he returned to Indianapolis for more engagements and even participated in a ceremonial first pitch at a Detroit Tigers game before the upcoming Detroit Grand Prix weekend.

Despite the hectic schedule, Rosenqvist embraced his duties with enthusiasm. He remarked on the importance of taking advantage of the moment, expressing how representing motorsports in such high-profile events is beneficial for both himself and the sport.

His victory at the Indy 500 was one of the closest races in history, creating substantial momentum. He now faces the challenge of continuing this success at the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix, where he will start from the 16th position. Meanwhile, championship leader Alex Palou will begin the race in pole position, with Will Power starting alongside him.
