A recent Gallup poll indicates a significant rise in the use of weight-loss medications among U.S. adults. Conducted through a web survey of 5,065 respondents, the poll highlights that 11 percent of adults in the United States are currently using these medications to shed pounds. This marks an increase from the 3 percent reported in 2024.

The data also reveals that a total of 15 percent of U.S. adults have tried GLP-1 medications for weight loss at some point. These medications, which include names like Ozempic and Mounjaro, are becoming increasingly popular for their effectiveness in managing weight.

The survey underscores a growing trend in the adoption of these prescribed treatments, signaling a shift in how people approach weight loss solutions in recent years.
