Investigation into Lynette Hooker’s Disappearance

The search for Lynette Hooker, missing since last month, focuses on a sailboat docked in Florida and a new search area in the Sea of Abaco, The Bahamas. Lynette vanished while vacationing with her husband Brian Hooker. They traveled on their sailboat, ‘Soulmate’. This recent April trip ended in mystery as Lynette disappeared.

Lynette and Brian Hooker have been married for around 25 years. Authorities reported that Lynette disappeared when the couple returned to their sailboat on a dinghy in the Sea of Abaco after a night out.

“Any sort of digital devices that you can take, any computer systems that you can extract, anything of that sort,” Nicole Parker, former FBI special agent and Fox News contributor, explained.

Once seized, the U.S. Coast Guard relocated the ‘Soulmate’ from The Bahamas to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The vessel sits at the U.S. Coast Guard station in Fort Pierce, Florida, ready for investigation.

A U.S. official said the sailboat will undergo a detailed search for any possible clues. Electronic devices and systems onboard will be checked.

The Bahamian government has approved a U.S. dive team to search a new area in the Sea of Abaco. Their mission targets finding Lynette or any fresh evidence linked to her disappearance.

Brian Hooker was initially held, then released by Bahamian authorities following Lynette’s disappearance report. He claimed she vanished overboard from their dinghy.

Nicole Parker explained the U.S. jurisdiction. Both the suspect, Brian, and the victim, Lynette, are U.S. citizens. The vessel is also a U.S. flagged boat, allowing U.S. laws to come into effect.

Parker noted many cases involve suspects committing crimes in international waters, believing foreign locations provide protection, which is incorrect.

Brian Hooker faces no charges nor accusations currently. Attempts to contact his attorney for comments have been unsuccessful.
