MJF Returns to AEW with a Vengeance

MJF made his impactful return to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) on Wednesday night at the Grand Slam in Mexico. Following Andrade El Idolo’s victory in a triple-threat match, which secured his place in the casino gauntlet match at All In, MJF emerged from the crowd and attacked him. He used the Triple B AEW World Championship as a weapon and reclaimed his Dynamite Diamond Ring.

MJF left Andrade bloodied and issued a strong warning to the AEW locker room. Claiming that his championship is the only ‘true’ title, he promised to reclaim the title from Kenny Omega by winning the upcoming casino gauntlet match. ‘Next week we’re in Vegas, and I’m feeling lucky,’ he announced. He stated his intention to enter the qualifying match for the No. 2 spot in the gauntlet. ‘I am going to win that match,’ he declared, promising another showdown with Andrade at Wembley.

The casino gauntlet match provides the winner with a contract for a future AEW World Championship opportunity. MJF previously won the match at last year’s All In event in Texas, where he competed for the AEW title at Forbidden Door. Although he didn’t claim the title again until Worlds End in December, he eventually regained it at Double or Nothing earlier this year.

Battles continued, with Omega defeating MJF at AEW Dynamite: Beach Break in July. Following a brief absence, MJF is eager to re-enter the casino gauntlet match to aim for his fourth championship reign.
