President Trump’s executive assistant, Natalie Harp, became a subject of satire on Saturday Night Live and Jimmy Kimmel Live. Harp’s dedication to Trump has drawn mockery from both shows, with political criticism from Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff, who claimed that Trump prefers to “travel with Natalie” instead of focusing on his presidential duties.
A White House spokesman, Davis Ingle, emphasized Harp’s loyalty and diligence, criticizing the media for their negative portrayal. Ingle stated that the media should focus on real news instead of attacking dedicated public servants.
Saturday Night Live
Harp, portrayed by Ashley Padilla, appeared in the opening sketch of Saturday Night Live on September 26. In the sketch, she interrupts a meeting between Trump, played by James Austin Johnson, and New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, portrayed by Ramy Youssef. After questioning who would visit in such weather, Harp energetically enters, claiming she “ran here from D.C.” Trump humorously likens her to a character from the film Obsession, while Harp warns Mamdani, “if you hurt him, I will end you.”
Jimmy Kimmel Live
On Jimmy Kimmel Live, Harp was parodied by Kimmel’s real-life wife, Molly McNearney. She mimics Harp’s devotion to Trump, humorously pledging to do whatever Kimmel needs. Despite being dismissed by Kimmel, she quickly returns asking if there are “Truths you’d like to post,” referencing Trump’s use of his Truth Social platform.
Harp exhibits distress after being told she is not needed but finds solace in Kimmel’s comment that she has already handled everything. She also humorously objects to being taken backstage, implying she must remain close to Kimmel, making quips about his wife’s lack of appreciation.
Natalie Harp’s Career
Harp gained Trump’s notice in 2019 with a LinkedIn post praising the Right to Try Act, which she credited for aiding her cancer treatment. She later spoke at the 2020 Republican National Convention and joined One America News Network until 2022. Harp became part of Trump’s team at Mar-a-Lago, where she earned the nickname “the human printer.” Serving during the 2024 election, her role expanded to executive assistant by January 2025.
Loyalty to President Trump
Harp’s unwavering support for Trump became evident through letters The Daily Beast obtained, expressing her devotion and gratitude. A letter viewed by The New York Times from that period apologized for an incident where she chased Trump’s golf cart in Scotland, stating her desire for everything to be right between them.
Her loyalty surfaced again during a football game in Knoxville, where she was pictured showing Trump something on her laptop. Viral photos emerged earlier in the month purportedly showing them kissing, dismissed later as AI-generated fakes due to visual anomalies.
During a visit to Ireland, a photograph of Harp at the U.S. ambassador’s residence circulated on social media. In response to journalist Aaron Rupar’s comment on the trip, a White House account criticized Rupar’s fixation. The story was last updated with comments from a White House spokesman.
