NFL Draft standout Cameron Rose Newell has stepped into her third year with a notable change in her life—a new engagement ring. On Wednesday, Brock Bowers, the tight end for the Las Vegas Raiders, proposed to Newell. As a result, she starts the season not only as a player but also as a fiancée.
Newell captured the moment on Instagram, expressing her joy and anticipation. Her caption read, “The best surprise of my life, right where it all started. Can’t wait to spend forever with you.”
The couple’s relationship began in high school, according to People. Despite attending different colleges—Bowers at Georgia and Newell at Tennessee—they maintained their connection. Both athletes were first-round picks in the 2024 NFL Draft, attracting attention prior to draft night due to Newell’s presence.
Their journey continued as they appeared at events like Sports Illustrated and Tight End University’s gathering in Nashville, Tennessee, in June 2026. Last year wasn’t easy for Bowers, who dealt with a knee injury, causing him to miss the end of his second NFL season. However, he has been actively involved in offseason activities, now ready for the challenge ahead.
Bowers and Newell were also seen at the 2026 ACM Awards held at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Despite the Raiders’ previous struggles, there’s hope for more wins this season after last year’s three-win performance.
