Olivia Rodrigo’s Unraveled Tour Opens with a Dramatic Start

Olivia Rodrigo began “The Unraveled Tour” on a high note, surprising her fans with a theatrical performance at People’s Bank Arena in Hartford, Connecticut. The 23-year-old pop star wore a baby blue pleated mini dress, captivating thousands of devoted fans while performing “The Cure.” As she sang, rain fell onto the stage and dramatically transformed her outfit into a striking red latex ensemble.

“First night of the Unraveled Tour was magic,” Rodrigo expressed online, sharing photos from the event.

For her encore, Rodrigo opted for a more casual look, appearing in a tank top and jeans. The performance included popular tracks from her previous albums, “GUTS” and “SOUR.”

The Unraveled Tour is Rodrigo’s third concert tour supporting her third studio album, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love.” It consists of 86 shows across North America and Europe, concluding with two performances at London’s O2 Arena on May 10.

Beyond her music, Rodrigo has created a significant impact on women-focused nonprofits. She raised $20 million at her first Daisy Chain Fields music festival. Melinda French Gates announced her intention to match every donation dollar for dollar, bringing the total to $20 million supporting women-driven causes.

Gates joined Rodrigo at the festival, expressing admiration for the singer. She emphasized the power of collective action by women and girls, highlighting their potential to create meaningful change.

Ten organizations benefited from the funds raised at the festival, including Baby2Baby, Black Mamas Matter Alliance, and Planned Parenthood, among others. Each will receive an equal share of the funds to support their initiatives.
