In a dramatic turn of events, two individuals have been arrested in Missouri and Washington state after authorities uncovered a plot targeting President Donald Trump’s UFC event at the White House.
According to court documents, law enforcement officials intercepted the plan days before the June 14 event. William Lee Spartacus Falkner from Belfair, Washington, was apprehended and charged with conspiracy to commit murder. Similarly, Jordan W. Rincker, 28, faced similar charges in Missouri.
“Law enforcement continues to do what it does — move to disrupt and hold accountable those allegedly plotting to do harm on the White House Grounds,” Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said.
Federal charges had already been brought against individuals from Ohio, Missouri, Nebraska, and California. Seven people are now facing federal charges related to the plot. The group reportedly embraced fringe conspiracy theories with intentions to destabilize the government.
The investigation sparked after an Ohio man’s mother alerted the authorities over her son’s recent firearms purchases and online communications. The suspect, Tycen Proper, shared plans for the attack, which included drone strikes and shooting fleeing crowd members.
Proper’s attorney, Joe Patituce, acknowledged the gravity of the charges, stating, “Mr. Proper appreciates the serious nature of the charges and will address them appropriately in court.”
Authorities recovered firearms and scrutinized encrypted messages exchanged among the group, which included maps and discussions about escape routes after the attack. Despite their talk, court records suggest they were not fully equipped to carry out the attack.
Rincker supposedly distributed cash and received goods to facilitate the attack, although he later denied intending to build drones. Falkner reportedly discussed acquiring drones and tactics for the plot, yet the group’s plans were disrupted before execution.
