President Trump’s Meeting with Baltimore Ravens Players at Tradepoint Atlantic

President Donald Trump spent time with several Baltimore Ravens players at Tradepoint Atlantic on Tuesday. This event marked the announcement of a significant development for the site, with Anduril Industries investing $3.7 billion in a high-tech shipyard set to manufacture submarine components. The location, a 3,300-acre industrial and global logistics hub in Sparrows Point, Baltimore County, Maryland, hosted the event where Trump acknowledged the Ravens athletes present.

The Player Line-Up

Four Ravens players were on hand: Marlon Humphrey, a four-time Pro Bowl cornerback, kicker Tyler Loop, long snapper Nick Moore, and punter Ryan Eckley. Their attendance came on a day off for the team, and they wore suits to the event where they engaged with the president. Trump singled them out during his address, acknowledging their team’s efforts as the Ravens lead the AFC North Division with a 3-1 record. He praised them, saying, “What a team you have this year. What a great team.”

Recognition from the President

Trump greeted the players before his speech and publicly acknowledged them. He asked them to stand, pointing them out as “big stars.” A special mention went to Nick Moore, the team’s long snapper and the oldest among the group. Trump commented on the importance of Moore’s role, emphasizing the skill involved in long snapping during games. Notably, he mentioned Moore’s “unblemished record,” highlighting his consistent performance.

Participating in the Tour

During the event, some players joined Trump in the presidential motorcade for a tour of the facility. Marlon Humphrey captured a video of a conversation between Trump and Moore about a past Super Bowl, which he later posted online. The video garnered one million views quickly, prompting discussions that included debates on social issues.

Absent but Not Forgotten

Quarterback Lamar Jackson did not attend due to an ankle injury. Trump acknowledged Jackson, asking the players to send his regards, and remarked on knowing Jackson’s mother, describing her fondly. Jackson’s status for an upcoming game against the Atlanta Falcons remains uncertain.
