Selma Blair Arrested After Incident on Delta Flight

Authorities confirmed that Selma Blair, known for her role in ‘Cruel Intentions’, was arrested after an incident on a Delta Air Lines flight. The flight was traveling from Los Angeles International Airport to John F. Kennedy International Airport. During the flight, Blair reportedly attempted to open a plane door mid-flight and allegedly assaulted flight attendants who intervened.

According to reports from TMZ, she punched one flight attendant and bit another. Dispatch audio captured a request for medical staff to be present at the gate upon landing. The audio revealed injuries included bite marks and a bloody nose. Blair also reportedly struck her head against a partition within the aircraft.

The New York Port Authority stated that one of the flight attendants required hospitalization. Delta Air Lines emphasized their zero-tolerance policy for disruptive or illegal behavior. Blair was detained for medical evaluation following the incident, and the FBI is conducting an investigation.

Selma experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged conduct. Upon landing, she received immediate medical attention and is currently in stable condition, Blair’s representative stated.

Blair, 54, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in 2018, which affects the central nervous system. Symptoms vary but can include memory challenges, mobility issues, mood alterations, and vision problems. She announced remission in 2021 and reported no relapses as of April 2026.

Blair had a prior episode in 2016, leading to removal from another flight after a blackout she attributed to mixing alcohol with medication. She described it as a significant mistake, as reported by Nexstar’s KTLA.
