Spokane Fires Lead to Massive Evacuation and Destruction

Officials report that wildfires in the Spokane region have destroyed over 700 structures. These fires have already consumed more than 8,000 acres by Monday afternoon.

Ken Anderson witnessed this firsthand. While standing in his driveway, he saw embers resembling the size of 50-cent coins descend from the sky, along with ash and gusty winds.

The fires have forced 65,000 residents to evacuate as authorities struggle to contain the spread and safeguard homes and lives.
