Throughout the evening, Sarkisian appeared frustrated with the interview procedures during halftime and postgame. During the ESPN broadcast, sideline reporter Laura Rutledge attempted to interview him as he exited the field. At that moment, Texas was down 20-3. Rutledge later clarified the situation, stating that ESPN faced technical difficulties, causing Sarkisian to wait for the interview.
