Jennifer Hyatt Tedmori, known for her role in the Nickelodeon sitcom Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, recently shared insights into her life after her stint as a child actress. Now 37, Tedmori took to social media to reveal the surprising nature of the residual checks she continues to receive.
Earlier this week, Tedmori cautioned her followers about an impending ‘crashout’ as she opened envelopes containing residual checks from her acting days. One particular video shows her unveiling an envelope with checks that, at times, bore insignificant sums. ‘Time to open my latest Ned’s Declassified residual checks,’ she mentioned, highlighting the curiosity surrounding these payments.
“POV: You were on a TV show 20 years ago and a random envelope still shows up in your mailbox,” Tedmori captioned alongside a video.
As Tedmori sorted through the mail, she confessed, ‘I have been procrastinating opening this… Some of these could be a penny, some of these could be $5.’ Indeed, one check she opened was for only two cents.
Over time, as more checks were opened, additional meager sums were revealed. Among them were amounts such as 63 cents, three cents, and at one point, a $1.11 payment linked to her appearance in an episode of 90210 over two decades ago.
She voiced her frustration humorously, remarking on the expenditure of sending out these checks given their amounts. She even questioned whether she needed to report these paltry sums to the IRS due to their insignificance.
Tedmori, having worked on nearly a dozen episodes of Ned’s Declassified, summed up her earnings, noting, ‘For Ned’s Declassified, I earned a grand total of $8.63.’ From her work on 90210, she accumulated $30.06, with a hint of sarcasm in her voice as she pondered her coffee options at Starbucks.
