Houses of the Holy: A Led Zeppelin Tribute
Houses of the Holy, a Led Zeppelin tribute band, is set to perform at the Memorial Opera House. The show will take place at 8 p.m. on August 21. The Flatbed Fords: Eagles Tribute Band
The Flatbed Fords, an Eagles tribute band, will make their debut at the Theatre at the Center stage located at 1040 Ridge Road in Munster on August 22. Known for their harmonies and masterful guitar work, they recreate the timeless hits of the Eagles. Lead vocalist and guitarist Jim Coleman, who grew up near Chicago, leads the band. Old-Fashioned Baseball with The Grinders
The Deep River Grinders, a Northwest Indiana vintage baseball club, continue to play by the 1858 rules of America’s pastime. They will host a free game at Deep River County Park in Hobart against the Vermillion County Voles at 2 p.m. on August 23. These games strictly follow 37 rules, a stark contrast to modern baseball’s numerous regulations. The games offer a historical experience with no use of mitts or gloves. Nate Venturelli: Free Concert
Nate Venturelli will perform on the Hard Rock Café Stage at Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana in Gary on August 22. Known for his song “Union Man,” Nate celebrates his blue-collar roots.
