Virginia is preparing to launch its legal market for recreational marijuana next July. Until this officially begins, there is concern about the interim period. A legislator emphasized that during this time, the illicit market might compensate for the absence of a legal avenue.
Recently, there was a significant drug seizure in Woodbridge. The Prince William County police reported that they recovered various drugs from the Rat Pack Clubhouse, a smoke shop in the area. Items confiscated included thousands of grams of marijuana, THC products, and magic mushrooms.
The seizure originated from a FedEx security intervention. Four packages appeared suspicious, prompting the security team to investigate further. Upon inspection, they found thousands of grams of marijuana along with concentrated extracts. Authorities valued these items at over $450,000.
