White House Responds to Ariana Grande’s Criticism Over Music Use

The White House responded to criticism from Ariana Grande after the use of her song in a social media video featuring Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrests. White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson addressed the issue on Thursday.

Jackson stated, “We’ll say this one last time: what’s actually barbaric, inhumane, and heinous are the criminal illegal aliens who have injured and murdered innocent American citizens.” This comment came after Grande criticized the White House for including her song “Bye” in a TikTok video. In her response via the comments section, Grande asked for her music not to be used in connection with what she described as “barbaric, inhumane, heinous nonsense,” following it with a curse directed at ICE.

The TikTok video, which featured a caption stating, “Bye-bye. President Trump has delivered the most secure border in history,” has since had its sound removed. This incident is part of a broader pattern where Grande has previously voiced her opposition to Trump administration policies. Last September, she shared a message on Instagram criticizing the treatment of immigrants and the impact on families and communities. Additionally, she took part in the Women’s March shortly after Trump assumed office in 2017 and challenged his transgender bathroom ban on social media.

Grande’s activism extends to her support for political figures as well. She backed Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign and performed at the White House for former President Barack Obama in 2014. She also shared a protest sign questioning the discrepancy between actions leading to deportation and electoral success, referencing Trump’s felony convictions related to the Stormy Daniels case.

As of the latest updates, Fox News Digital had reached out to Ariana Grande’s representatives for comment, but no response was recorded in the article.
