Baltimore Ravens Anticipate Return of Rookie Receiver Ja’Kobi Lane

The Baltimore Ravens made noteworthy roster changes on Tuesday, hinting at the expected return of rookie wide receiver Ja’Kobi Lane. The team released wide receiver Chris Moore from the active roster and removed wide receiver Xavier Guillory from the practice squad.

Ja’Kobi Lane, who experienced a fractured wrist injury during his regular-season debut in Week 1, is set to come back from injured reserve this week. It is anticipated that Moore will join the practice squad, filling the spot left by Guillory. Lane’s return will see him rejoin the Ravens’ 53-man active roster.

Baltimore’s head coach, Jesse Minter, is keeping the door open for Lane’s potential participation in the upcoming Week 6 game against the Cleveland Browns. “Ja’Kobi’s done a really good job,” Minter stated to reporters on Monday. “When you’re on IR, how much can you do physically to be ready to play that first week back? He’s in a good place from a conditioning standpoint. We’ll see how that shakes out on Wednesday.”

Lane created excitement during training camp, earning respect from star quarterback Lamar Jackson. Upon his return, the third-round draft pick is expected to play a significant role in the Ravens’ passing game.

The Ravens’ matchup against the Browns is scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
