A federal judge has reinstated the access of a major cable network to the White House. Despite this restoration, the network is still barred from traveling on the president’s plane, Air Force One.
On October 20, 2026, CNN announced its intention to pursue further legal remedies. This comes after President Donald Trump refused to permit the network and its journalists to accompany him on Air Force One.
Previously, CNN, in conjunction with MS NOW and Politico, secured a preliminary injunction in a federal court. This legal win countered President Trump’s attempts to restrict these media outlets from entering the White House premises.
