Diane Farr, known for her role in ‘Fire Country,’ has departed Los Angeles after three decades. The actress, now 56, shared her experience on Instagram, highlighting her ‘Last Day in LA.’ Having moved from New York City at the age of 26 in pursuit of an acting career, Farr reflected on her time in the city. Despite not being born there or attending school within its borders, she chose to embrace LA as her home.
Farr acknowledged the challenge of moving, especially from a place tied to her dreams. Her career in the entertainment industry kick-started in the 1990s, with a notable role in ‘Roswell’ in 1999. She later featured prominently in series such as ‘Numb3rs,’ ‘Splitting Up Together,’ and ‘Fire Country.’
Aside from her professional journey, she cherished the family she raised there. Farr expressed gratitude for raising her children amid the city’s sunny landscapes and quality public schools. She shares three children—Beckett, 18, and twin daughters Coco and Sawyer, 17—with her ex-husband Seung Yong Chung.
‘LA will always be where my family is from,’ she stated, recognizing the profound impact the city has had on her family life.
Her Instagram video included clips of her final day, capturing her farewells to her home and motorcycle, driving away in a moving truck, and showcasing moments spent within the home. She touched on various phases experienced in the house and hinted at embarking on new adventures abroad.
Farr shared, ‘Settling into whatever it is I’m supposed to be…as a one,’ suggesting a future involving countries she had not envisioned before. While acknowledging the difficulty of leaving her home and fulfilled dreams, she appreciated the lessons learned during her hiatus in LA.
