Lindy Li Challenges Biden’s Re-Election Strategy

Lindy Li, a former key figure in Democratic fundraising, believes President Joe Biden’s effort to justify his decision to run for re-election in 2024 is ill-advised. Concerns about his age and cognitive abilities are growing. Li fears that Biden’s upcoming memoir, Promise Me, America, might revive troubling memories for Democrats post the 2024 election defeat. She sees the book as reflective of his presidency.

Addressing a lack of enthusiasm, Li recounts, “When Biden finally exited on July 21, there wasn’t a farewell party, apart from a small one in the Rose Garden by staff.” Li criticized Jill Biden for having Biden write books instead of enjoying retirement.

Throughout his presidency, Biden faced rumors about his cognitive decline. He described his upcoming book as a reflection on national challenges and the choices he made, sparking derision online. Conservative voices like Steve Guest and Clay Travis mocked the notion of Biden’s authorship.

Li is also set to release her book, Unburdened, where she plans to expose cover-ups regarding Biden’s decline. She reveals her insight into the party’s discomfort, describing shaky support within Biden’s camp before his 2024 election dropout.

She shared an instance where her phone was confiscated during a 2023 Biden campaign event by the Democratic National Committee (DNC) due to her social media activity. Such actions were aimed at protecting Biden’s image.

Reflecting on Biden’s presidency, Li observes that Biden’s presence continued to challenge the party. She suggests the Democrats’ efforts to conceal issues related to Biden’s capability showcased their internal conflict. Her insights reveal the underlying tension within the party.
