Angel Dad Joins ICE to Advocate for Victims of Illegal Alien Crime

Joseph Abraham, an Angel Dad whose daughter was tragically killed, is joining the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as the Executive Director of Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement (VOICE). This office aims to support victims of crime committed by illegal aliens.

In a devastating incident in January 2025, Abraham’s daughter, Katie, and her friend Chloe Polzin, lost their lives in a hit-and-run car accident caused by Julio Cucul-Bol, a Guatemalan national. Cucul-Bol faced charges and eventually pled guilty to driving under the influence and other offenses, receiving a 30-year prison sentence.

“My experience, my voice, and what Katie’s story taught me will ensure victims are heard and treated with dignity,” Abraham said.

Joe Abraham has since become a vocal advocate for stricter border control and deporting illegal aliens. His advocacy inspired Operation Midway Blitz, which led to over 4,000 arrests in the Chicago area between September and December 2025.

White House spokeswoman Lauren Bis praised Abraham, highlighting his commitment to addressing crimes linked to illegal immigration.

The VOICE office, reinstated by President Trump in April 2025 after initially being closed during the Biden administration, has supported hundreds of victims and their families. It has received 897 calls, assisted 588 victims, and provided services to 185 family members.

Commonly reported crimes include assault (35%), rape and sexual assault (17%), and homicide and manslaughter (10%).

The Trump administration has had ongoing conflicts with Illinois Democratic Governor JB Pritzker over sanctuary state policies and immigration enforcement cooperation.
